How often should I service my boiler?
Annually. Every major manufacturer (Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, Viessmann) requires an annual service by a Gas Safe registered engineer to keep the warranty valid. It also catches small issues before they turn into expensive winter breakdowns.
How long does a boiler service take?
Around 30 to 60 minutes for a standard domestic boiler. Older or more complex systems can take longer - we'll let you know if that's the case before we start.
What is included in a service?
Visual inspection, flue gas analysis, gas pressure and flow rate checks, a carbon monoxide safety check, cleaning of the condensate trap and key components, confirmation that all safety devices are working, and a written service report at the end.
Do you service all boiler brands?
Yes - all major gas combi, system and conventional boilers (Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, Viessmann, Glow-worm, Alpha, Navien, Vokera, Potterton, Main) and LPG/oil boilers too.
Do you provide landlord gas safety certificates (CP12)?
Yes. We carry out CP12 landlord gas safety inspections across Ayrshire and can combine them with an annual boiler service at a reduced combined rate. The certificate is issued on the day.
What happens if you find a fault?
We'll explain clearly what's wrong, show you why, and tell you honestly whether it needs attention now or can wait. If it's a repair we can do on the day we'll quote before doing the work - you're under no obligation.
