How much does a boiler repair cost?
We quote before we do any work. Common faults - thermostat, pressure sensor, diverter valve, PRV, ignition lead, expansion vessel - are usually fixed within a standard visit. Bigger repairs (heat exchanger, PCB, fan) are priced individually, and we'll tell you honestly if a new boiler would be the better option.

Yes - the van carries common parts for the brands we see most often in Ayrshire. For manufacturer-specific parts we can usually source them next day from our local wholesaler.
My boiler shows an error code - what do I do?
First, check the pressure gauge is between 1 and 1.5 bar (top it up if low) and that any external condensate pipe hasn't frozen in cold weather. If the code persists, call us with the make, model and code - we can often tell you over the phone whether it's something simple.
My boiler is losing pressure
Small weekly drops are often nothing to worry about, but daily drops usually mean a leak (radiator, pipework or boiler), a faulty pressure relief valve, or a failed expansion vessel. All fixable in a single visit.
Is it worth repairing an old boiler?
Often yes, but not always. If the boiler is 12-15+ years old, has had more than one repair in the last year, or the repair is more than about half the price of a new boiler with warranty, a replacement usually makes more sense. We'll tell you honestly.
